Requirements: Primarily responsible for corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and packing of various sizes and types of valves, i.e. gate, globe, ball, butterfly, plug, control, check and relief. Demonstrated experience in use of in-line lapping equipment, hydraulic torque wrenches, packing extraction tools, and other equipment needed to perform total valve refurbishment. Repair work includes blue checks, inspections and lapping of in-body seats, wedges and stems. Proficient in use of M&TE equipment for critical measurements. Must be experienced in working with various procedures. Types of lapping equipment: Dexter EFCO Unislip Relief valves. Requirements: Comprehensive knowledge and work experience in welding applications in industrial plant maintenance and/or construction related work. Demonstrated experience in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and/or SMAW as plate, pipe, tube, and/or structural. Should be familiar with the various alloy materials to be welded. Must be able to read and understand field weld data sheets, plant flow diagrams, plant layout drawings, ISO drawings, weld process forms and plant procedures. Knowledgeable in layout and pipe fitting. Welding Skills: Burning, fabrication and welding of steel plates, tubes, drums, boilers, pressure vessels, flanges, pipes, structures, valves and valve components. Welding of carbon steel, stainless steel and/or aluminum. Ability to read blueprints, layout work, and cut, shape and assemble weld in accordance with designs, drawings, sketches, and specifications. Individual must qualify to Owner's procedures for the specific work envisioned prior to their assignment. Education and Training: Minimum of four (4) years structural/pipe welding, or as required by site. Shall successfully complete all required purchaser's welding qualification tests. Must be able to pass a nuclear security clearance and drug screening.
